The Tampa Shoulder Course has been designed to provide orthopaedic surgeons with advanced and comprehensive training for the diagnosis and treatment of various shoulder and elbow conditions including conservative care, arthroplasty, arthroscopy, and fracture management. The interactive course format will include a diverse combination of lectures, hands-on workshops, live surgeries, debates, case presentations and panel discussions.
Furthermore, there will be aTSA & rTSA Bioskills Lab Training and Revision Shoulder Arthroplasty Spotlight session on Thursday, April 22, 2021. This session will provide attendees the opportunity to observe step-by-step surgical demonstrations for aTSA, RSA, and Revision TSA, as well as improve upon their surgical skills through hands-on lab training for aTSA and rTSA, led by our faculty experts.
Orthopaedic Surgeons, fellows, residents, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals whose scope of practice includes shoulder and elbow surgery.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Apply innovative methods of assessment and management to various shoulder & elbow disorders
- Apply current concepts to total elbow arthroplasty
- Consider the post-operative complications and outcomes following anatomic and reverse shoulder arthroplasty
- Identify humeral and glenoid bone loss and develop strategies to manage it as it relates to anatomic and reverse shoulder arthroplasty
- Develop strategies for the treatment of shoulder instability
- Assess the options for the treatment of massive rotator cuff tears
