Hematopathology diagnosis has become increasingly complex and is incorporating advanced tools such as next-generation sequencing. Nevertheless, morphology remains a cornerstone of accurate diagnosis of both lymphoid and myeloid neoplasms and non-neoplastic conditions. Correct morphologic interpretation is also crucial to direct efficient ordering and correct interpretation of ancillary testing. Expert faculty provide clarification on the 5th edition World Health Organization Classification and International Consensus Classification. The course includes both lymphoid and myeloid sessions to help hematopathologists apply the current classification criteria accurately in diagnostic practices

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this educational activity, learners will be able to:

• Describe the morphologic features of common and less common myeloid and lymphoid neoplasms and reactive non-neoplastic hematolymphoid proliferations.
• Learn how to apply the diagnostic criteria (WHO 5th edition and ICC) for hematopoietic neoplasms in practice, including how to handle cases where the two classifications may yield discrepant diagnoses.
• Learn when to order ancillary studies based on morphologic and clinical findings, which studies to order (in a cost-effective manner), and how to interpret and integrate the results of these studies into the final diagnosis.
