This conference is designed as a thorough didactic and practical review to help prepare for the written and/or oral certifying examination as well as an intense update for everyone’s practice. A selected group of expert speakers with experience and current knowledge of their topic will present their reviews in a case-based manner imparting their own caveats that have been found to improve results.
All lectures will be conducted in an interactive format paralleling quiz sessions and oral examinations. At the end of each day, a mock examination will be conducted covering the topics of that day. The presenter will go over the case based on the topics of the day’s presentations, each attendee will have the time to review and discuss in an open interactive forum conducive to positive feedback. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own cases to present to the audience and expert panel. These “Mock Sessions” will provide the attendees with the ability to 1) enrich communication and presentation skills, 2) assimilate the informative feedback received to enhance knowledge; and 3) address critical thinking and problem-solving competencies. Those that participate in the mock exam, will receive a link to their session to review which will include the feedback of the examiners.
