Attendees will be better prepared to screen for and detect pulmonary hypertension earlier. This year’s conference will offer opportunities to interact with prominent faculty on practical issues, including pathophysiology of PAH, imaging, new treatment options. The symposium is designed for physicians in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, cardiology, critical care, and family practice. It will also be of interest to respiratory therapists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and other health professional caring for patients with pulmonary disease.
- Identify signs, symptoms, and risk factors associated with PAH to facilitate timely referral of patients.
- Articulate diagnostic tests used to identify patients with PAH.
- Design a more rapid and multidisciplinary approach to earlier detection of PAH.
- Appraise future advancements of care in pulmonary hypertension.
- Describe the pharmacologic management of PAH patients.
