Overview

The Neuro Care Network, a collaboration between University of Michigan Health and Michigan State University Health Care, presents the Stroke Symposium 2026. This hybrid program offers participants the flexibility to attend either in person at the Marriott East Lansing at University Place or virtually. This symposium provides up-to-date education on the current approaches to diagnosing and managing uncommon stroke presentations.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:
  1. Describe current advances in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and complex stroke presentations.
  2. Evaluate patients using evidence-based criteria to determine appropriate imaging, interventions, and care pathways.
  3. Apply updated clinical guidelines to optimize decision-making in carotid disease, thrombectomy, and neurocritical care scenarios.
  4. Integrate emerging rehabilitation strategies and technologies to improve post-stroke outcomes.
  5. Recognize interdisciplinary approaches that enhance coordination and quality of care throughout the stroke continuum.

The Michigan Medicine Stroke Symposium 2026 is best for neurologists, neurosurgeons, emergency physicians, and multidisciplinary clinicians who want a comprehensive, evidence‑based update on stroke care. It emphasizes integrating acute management, prevention, rehabilitation, and scientific advances to improve patient outcomes.
