OVERVIEW
Join this hybrid program in-person and virtually. New information regarding the medical evaluation of abnormal liver function tests, medical management of NASH, and primary sclerosing cholangitis and primary biliary cholangitis will be presented. In addition, management of ascites, management of cholecystitis and laparoscopic gastric sleeve for obesity in high-risk candidates will be presented. Following the course, the participants will understand and be able to implement how to evaluate a patient with abnormal liver biochemistries; how to evaluate and treat patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease; how to diagnose and treat patients with chronic cholestatic liver disease; how to assess the severity of ascites, diagnose and treat SBP, and understand the indications and outcomes with IV albumin use in patients with cirrhosis; radiological, endoscopic, and surgical approaches to cholecystitis; and indications and limitations of laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy.
