Topics: Obstetric, gynecologic, musculoskeletal, genitourinary, vascular, pediatric, interventional, artificial intelligence, ultrasound contrast, professional development and much more.

The Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound (SRU) promotes the science, practice and teaching of sonography to ensure optimal care. For three decades, the SRU has fostered sonography’s advancement for the care of patients and professional fulfillment of physicians. Ultrasound’s unique advantages include noninvasive real-time scanning, portability, instant multiplanar imaging, and a lack of ionizing radiation. However, constant training in new technology and techniques must be provided in order for radiologists to maintain their leadership in clinical ultrasound imaging. The pandemic has further emphasized the importance of sonography and the necessity of updated guidance regarding its many applications. The SRU responds to this need with its 30th Annual Meeting, featuring more than fifty expert faculty members providing a detailed review and update of all facets of ultrasound. Topics include obstetric, gynecologic, musculoskeletal, genitourinary, vascular, pediatric, interventional, artificial intelligence, ultrasound contrast and professional development. As such, the SRU 30th Annual Meeting is an essential resource for all that are interested in this constantly evolving modality

Target Audience and Objectives

The educational design of this activity addresses the needs of radiologists utilizing ultrasound as part of their practice.
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:
1. Review sonographic findings that pose a high risk of incorrect diagnosis and provide strategies for improved patient care.
2. Discuss emergent sonographic findings of ultrasound abnormalities throughout the body.
3. Review the role and application of ultrasound and specifically Doppler in the diagnosis of vascular abnormalities in a variety of regions throughout the body.
4. Discuss the use of ultrasound in diagnosis of musculoskeletal disorders.
5. Evaluate and discuss sonography of the genitourinary system, including diffuse and focal disease.
6. Discuss the most effective uses of ultrasound in the performance of interventional procedures.
7. Evaluate and discuss sonography of 2nd/3rd trimester fetus, neck and gastrointestinal system.
8. Discuss noninterpretive skills including the relationship of radiologists with practitioners of point of care ultrasound.
9. Evaluate and diagnose gynecologic and 1st trimester obstetric abnormalities using ultrasound.
