  • Screen for and diagnose alcohol use disorder (AUD), and evaluate FDA-approved, off-label, and emerging pharmacological treatments along with their indications, pros, and cons.

  • Review pertinent surface anatomy, perform a focused shoulder exam, recognize rotator cuff pathology and impingement, and select appropriate shoulder imaging and treatment modalities.

  • Discuss the health risks associated with obstructive sleep apnea, review the systemic benefits of treatment, and evaluate contemporary non-invasive and alternative therapeutic options.

  • Formulate a systematic differential diagnosis for chronic cough and discuss clinical approaches to chronic cough associated with fibrotic lung diseases.

  • Apply updated inhaler management algorithms from the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) and evaluate indications and treatment options for biologic therapy in asthma.

  • Describe the basic physiology of cannabis and the endocannabinoid system, review current trends in medical/legal cannabis use, analyze cannabis in chronic pain management, and diagnose and treat cannabis use disorder.

  • Evaluate imaging and determine conservative versus surgical treatment options for meniscal tears, acute foot/ankle injuries (including Lisfranc injuries), and femoroacetabular impingement.
