Plan to attend this one-of-a-kind symposium that provides a unique array of educational offerings in the field of clinical immunology. This symposium is designed for busy clinicians who desire to increase their declarative and procedural knowledge, as it applies to patient care.
Whether you prefer to join in-person in Scottsdale, AZ, or join by live stream, you will receive instruction from leading experts in the field of immunology. Our Saturday session begins with an overview of advances in immunology, and leads into a review of hot topics in immunology 2023. Our afternoon session focuses on the standard of care for SpA and PsA, along with new developments in treatments for SAPHO, SLE, and complement and vasculitis. On Sunday, our program is devoted to topics related to COVID-19 and rheumatologists/clinical immunologists, including vaccines, long COVID, and cytokine storm. Don’t miss our flipped classroom panel discussion. We’ll conclude the course with a discussion of wellness and treating the COVID-19 patient long-term.
Learning Objectives
By attending, participants will be able to do the following:
- Explain the integrated immune response as it applies to host defense ad immune-mediated diseases and recognize recent advances that may influence patient care.
- Describe and critically appraise the immunologic mechanisms of action for targeted therapies and targeted synthetic therapies regarding the efficacy and safety across the immune mediate inflammatory diseases including psoriatic arthritis (PsA), spondyloarthritis (SpA), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), vasculitis, and others.
- Describe recent advances in prevention and outpatient treatment of COVID-19 in immunocompromised patients, and the use of immune based therapies for hospitalized patients with severe disease.
- Critically appraise data on the role of wellness behaviors on general health, immunologic health, and management of COVID-19 and its complications.
Who Should Attend?
The symposium is directed to rheumatologists; dermatologists; infectious disease clinicians; allergists; clinical immunologists; specialists in integrative medicine, preventive medicine, wellness, and primary care; nurses; physicians assistants, and other health care professionals caring for patients with immunologic diseases.
