The purpose of the conference is to provide health caregivers knowledge on pre-diabetes and diabetes diagnosis. Other areas of knowledge include pharmaceutical treatment, lifestyle modifications, glucose monitoring technology, and related comorbidities to be able to provide exceptional care.
- Review the latest research and evidence based care regarding the comorbidities and treatment options in the care of type 2 diabetes
- Implement patient education and strategies in lifestyle behavior changes to improve patients with type 2 diabetes health outcomes.
- Apply the National Standards of Care from the American Diabetes Association (ADA) and American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE)
- Participants will self-report an increase in knowledge regarding the newest medications available for the treatment of diabetes.
- Participants will self-report an increase of knowledge in the latest technology available for the management of diabetes
- Participants will self-report an increase of knowledge regarding the current clinical standards of care.
