Overview

The 6th Annual Gillian Reny Stepping Strong Trauma Research and Innovation Symposium, hosted by Brigham and Women’s Hospital, showcases groundbreaking translational research, clinical innovations, and bioengineering breakthroughs dedicated to transforming outcomes for civilian and military trauma survivors. Trauma remains a leading cause of death and lifelong disability worldwide. The Stepping Strong Center mobilizes multidisciplinary innovators across clinical medicine, engineering, advanced biomaterials, and regenerative medicine to advance limb salvage, bone and tissue regeneration, burn and wound healing, trauma-induced brain injuries, and long-term functional recovery. This annual symposium convenes leading clinicians, scientists, biomedical innovators, and healthcare leaders to exchange insights, review cutting-edge pilot grant discoveries, and explore advanced clinical solutions from the point of injury to full community reintegration.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

• Evaluate novel translational biomedical technologies and bioengineering methodologies designed for advanced trauma care, soft tissue repair, and complex limb salvage.
