The SCAI 2024 Fellows Courses, scheduled for December 11–15, 2024, in Miami, Florida, is a comprehensive educational program designed to equip aspiring interventional cardiologists with the advanced skills and knowledge essential for post-fellowship practice. The event features four specialized tracks: Interventional Cardiology, Congenital Heart Disease, Advanced Peripheral Vascular, and Advanced Structural Heart Disease. Through didactic sessions, hands-on workshops, and case-based discussions, attendees explore cutting-edge clinical practices, advanced procedural techniques, and complex decision-making in an engaging, collegial environment taught by internationally recognized faculty.

Learning Objectives

The courses are designed to help fellows-in-training reach specialty-specific milestones. Upon completion, participants will be able to:

  • Enhance patient care and advanced procedural skills, including large bore access and complex percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI).

  • Expand medical knowledge regarding the management of challenging lesions, cardiogenic shock, and diverse clinical scenarios.

  • Utilize intravascular imaging (IVUS, OCT) and hemodynamic coronary assessments (FFR, iFR) to optimize outcomes.

  • Develop interdisciplinary collaboration and system-based practices for hybrid and complex interventions.

  • Improve professionalism, interpersonal communication, and practice-based learning for a seamless transition from fellowship to attending practice.

Target Audience

  • SCAI’s Fellows Courses teach future generations of interventional cardiologists the knowledge and skills they need for post-fellowship practice. If you are a current interventional cardiology fellow or are in, or have been accepted to, an advanced training program, explore which of the following four courses is the right one for you: Interventional Cardiology, Congenital Heart Disease, Advanced Peripheral Vascular, and Advanced Structural Heart Disease. All four courses are taught by an internationally recognized faculty in an engaging, collegial environment and scholarships are available for all fellows whose applications to attend one of the courses is accepted.
