Gynecologic Pathology Advances

In this online program, you’ll encounter the latest discoveries and diagnostic challenges in gynecologic pathology, focusing on biopsies, resections, and gestational trophoblastic neoplasia. You’ll examine commonly encountered specimens such as endometrial and cervical biopsies, as well as the complex mesenchymal lesions that often pose diagnostic difficulties.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

• Describe the classification of cervical squamous and glandular neoplasia and current staging approaches for cervical cancer
• Apply the TCGA molecular classification of endometrial carcinoma and explain its implications for FIGO staging
• Recognize preinvasive endometrial lesions and diagnostic considerations in patients receiving progestin therapy
• Determine appropriate ancillary testing strategies for the diagnosis of uterine mesenchymal neoplasms
• Describe morphologic and immunohistochemical features of serous tubal intraepithelial carcinoma and other p53-abnormal lesions of the fallopian tube lesions
• Assess low-grade serous neoplasia and associated peritoneal implants
• Describe key morphologic features and ancillary testing approaches used in the diagnosis of ovarian carcinomas
